8th April 2002 : Gem Upgrades was launched as a sole agency to provide IT technical infrastructure and literary services.
28th Dec 2006: Gem Upgrades Ltd was launched as a Limited Company with emphasis on public sector IT Training.
Owner profile





John McGhee (MBCS, CITP, ABILD)
- Former systems programmer, Oracle DBA and European IT Manager, specialised in technical infrastructure in Europe, USA & China.
- Took an early-retirement package in 2002 then undertook Project Management contracts involving IT outsourcing & Chinese telecoms.
- Wrote a series of magazine articles and renovated a house in France to provide Respite Care services.
- Rejoined the IT industry in 2004 as a Technical Writer and Independent Trainer covering North West London, Oxfordshire & Wiltshire.
